Borlaug Farm Help

The Norman Borlaug Heritage Foundation is looking for volunteers to help clean at the Borlaug farm on Saturday April 26th at 10am with raking of the acreage and cleaning the inside of buildings.  Volunteers should contact Barb Schwamman at bschwamman@swinn.k12.ia.us if interested!  BRING A RAKE!

Mobile Food Pantry Help

Volunteers are needed to hep with Mobile Food Pantry Saturday April 5th from 8:30am to 12pm The pantry is located at First Lutheran Church, 920 East 3rd Street in Cresco.  Volunteers will unload food from a truck, set up tables, help distribute food items, and clean up the distribution area.  Silver Cord hours for High School students.  If you would like to help our neighbors in need, please contact Betty Schmitt through school email or at 563-547-4843 to sign up.  Thank you.

Swimming Help Needed for Elementary Students

  The K, 1, and 2 teachers at Crestwood Elementary are looking at taking the kids to the swimming pool.  We are required to have adults in the pool with the kids.  We wondered if there would be any high school kids that would be interested in helping us.  We will be having 2 days because of the number of kids.  We are looking at having 2 sessions on each of the days.  We would be going on May 27th and May 28th.  The 1st session would be from 12:30-1:15 on each day and the 2nd session would be from 1:40-2:25.  We would like them to be there a little before and a little after to help with getting the kids in and out of the locker rooms.  We would be interested in both boys and girls in helping.  If interested, please contact Jo Berg at jberg@howard-winn.k12.ia.us

Notre Dame Noodle Help

The Notre Dame Church is making noodles on Friday March 28th from 4:30 pm to 7:30pm, Saturday March 29th 8am to 3pm, and Sunday March 30th from 9am to 10am . Workout Buddy Needed

Amy Roth, a Service Coordinator at Opportunity Homes, Inc., is in need of volunteers.   Opportunity Homes has a couple of male individuals within our agency who are interested in having a male buddy/workout partner at the Fitness Center a few days, for a few hours during the week.

Tutors

Crestwood Elementary is looking for tutors in any subject and for numerous grade levels.  If you are interested in tutoring elementary students, please let Mrs. Schwade know.

Referees/Scorekeepers Needed

7^th & 8^th grade girls tournament here at the Fitness Center Sat. Jan. 18^th from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.

Need referees & scorekeepers.  They are blocked off into 2 hour 2 game sections below.

5^th & 6^th grade boys & girls are Sat. & Sun. Feb. 8-9 from 9:00 am  - 6:30 pm. 

7^th & 8^th grade boys are Sat. Mar. 1^st from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.
