P/T Conf. Babysitting Help

Mrs. Grimm is seeking volunteers to babysit during elementary parent-teacher conferences on Monday, November 5th from 4:00-8:00.  Email Mrs. Grimm at sgrimm@howard-winn.k12.ia.us if interested.

Craft Show Help

Volunteers are needed for the WA TAN YE Craft Show to be held on Saturday November 10th from 10:30-1:30 at the Expo Building at the fairgrounds. Students can work some or all of the hours. Please call or email Polly Jones at 563.203.0543 or jonespw14@gmail.com if interested.

RHSHC 5K

Regional Health Services is wanting volunteers to help with the Donut Let Cancer Win 5K run/walk on Oct 13th from 8:30-11:00am. Students will assist with directing runners/walkers on trail, providing water, and assisting elsewhere with the event.  To sign up to volunteer, please contact Laura Hubka at 547-6374.  Please contact her by Sept. 14th to volunteer.

Dog Diving & Barn Hunt

The AKC Club of Cresco is seeking volunteers for the Dog Diving and Barn Hunt event to be held on June 1, 2, and 3rd at the Howard County Fairgrounds. 15 volunteers are needed each day. Please contact Vicki Armstrong if interested at 563.547.5276.

RHSHC Help

Regional Health Services of Howard County  is seeking volunteers to help directing patients and various other tasks throughout the summer. If interested, please contact Danielle Courtney at 563.547.6381.

Wisdom and Wellness Volunteers

Cheryl Dickman is looking for Silver Cord  students to help with Crestwood's Wisdom & Wellness program.  The dates would be Monday-Friday June 4-June 29 until around 8:30am to 12-1pm. This would consist of overseeing younger students, going on field trips and doing some fun activities.

She also need sSilver Cord students to help with the kitchen Monday-Friday, from 11 am until 1-1;30 pm, June 4th until August 17th, we won't be serving July 4th, 5th or 6th.  This would consist of helping in the kitchen and helping to clean up after lunch is served.

Please contact Cheryl Dickman by May 25th if you would be interested in getting Silver Cord hours.

Art Show Help

Art in the Park Help

Carrie Leff is looking for some help this summer with Art in the park. She needs volunteers to assist kids with activities, helping to keep them on task and involved in the activities that are available. Helping refill supplies, like paint and paper etc. Set up and clean up help would also be greatly appreciated.

Adopt a Highway Help

The Prairie Springs Recreational Trail committee is seeking volunteers to help with Adopt a Highway ditch clean-up on Saturday May 19 at 8am. Volunteers should meet at the NICC parking lot dressed for the weather and wearing gloves. Contact Tim Wolter if interested at 563.419.8081.

Track Meet Assistance

This Thursday Crestwood hosts their only Co-ed track meet of the season on April 26th.

In order to run this track meet efficiently, we need some volunteers!

If you would like to earn some silver cord hours and come help out at the track meet please let me know.  The hours would be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.

Long Jump 

High Jump

Special needs Association Dance Help

The Special Needs Association is hosting their spring dance on Sunday, April 15th from 1-4 at the Expo Building.  They could use some silver cord students to help with crafts, games, and lunch at the end of the afternoon.  Interested students can email Mrs. Schmitt at bschmitt@howard-winn.k12.ia.us

Babysitting

On Tuesday, April 10 from 5:45-7:15, the first grade teachers will be having a parent meeting. They need some volunteers to help with babysitting younger siblings that parents may leave with them. Please contact Mrs. Berg at jberg@howard-winn.k12.ia.us if you would be interested in helping.

Six volunteers are needed to help serve at the Cresco Community Lions Dad's Belgian Waffle Breakfast on Sunday Feb. 25 from 8:30am-12:30pm. If interested, please contact Don Wearda at 547.5817.

Music Contest Serving Help

Ms. Parks would like 5 - 7 students from 5pm to 7pm on January 16. 

Duties would include serving approximately 25 music program directors from various schools around northeast Iowa, cleaning up, moving tables etc.
