VFW Breakfast Help

The Cresco VFW hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of each month from September thru April at the VFW (by Subway).  The breakfast runs from 8am  to 12:30pm.  Dates for breakfasts are Dec. 20, Jan. 17, Feb. 21, March 20, and April 17th.  Volunteers are always needed and made just show at the times that work for them.

Helping Services Volunteer Opportunity

Helping Services for Northeast Iowa is hosting a Nurtured Heart parenting class in Cresco on February 16th, 23rd, and March 1st. The volunteers would be expected to help us run the day care service that we provide the parents during the classes.  We are estimating that we will need anywhere from 2-5 volunteers for this event, dependent on the number of people we get to enroll in the class. Babysitting Help

The Crestwood PTO has a meeting on Tuesday December 15 at 6:30 in the discovery center at Crestwood Elem/JH. They are seeking volunteers to provide day care so parents can attend the meeting. Contact Kelly Jessen at kellyolsonjessen@gmail.com if interested in helping.

Wedding Help

Mrs. Vachta is seeking two volunteers to help at her son's wedding.

Here are the details:
The wedding is December 12. It starts at 4pm at the Expo. I would like to have 2 students to make popcorn using a popcorn machine, refill the candy and snack containers, and refill the lemonade containers. They would need to be at the Expo by 4:30pm.  I will have someone there to tell them what to do. They would stay and work until 6pm or 6:30pm. They would be able to eat supper there, too.

Computer Help

Joe Spalla is looking for a volunteer to assist him with basic computer tasks.  He will meet at the Cresco Library.  Please call him at 563.202.0310 (cell) or 563.737.2510 (home) if interested.

Mobile Food Pantry

The Mobile Food Pantry will be in Cresco on Saturday November 7th.  The pantry is located at First Lutheran Church, 920 East 3rd Street in Cresco.  Volunteers are needed to help unload the truck, distribute the food, and clean up.  If you want to volunteer, please be at the church by 8:30am. The food pantry is over by 12.  Questions??  Contact Betty Schmitt at school email.  

PTO Day Care
