Book Sale Help

The Cresco Public Library is seeking volunteers to help set-up for its annual book sale.  Volunteers are needed on Wednesday April 27th from 3:30 to 8pm to help set-up for the fair.  If interested, please contact Sue Chailquist at 547.4382.

First Grade Meeting Help

The first grade teachers are looking for help on Thursday, March 3 from 5:15 to 6:45pm.  We are looking for help providing daycare to younger children while we have a parent meeting.  Please contact Joellyn Berg at jberg@howard-winn.k12.ia.us if you are able to help us.

Mentoring Opportunity

Hello, my name is Colinne. I am the IDPH Youth Mentoring AmeriCorps Member serving at Helping Services for NE Iowa. Our mentoring program is in great need of mentors. We require the mentor to be 17 or older and give a 1 year commitment, with a time commitment of 4-5 hours a month whenever and however they want to do those hours. Junior High Basketball Help

We are in need of someone to work the clock at the following dates for junior high basketball games.  They would need to be there at 3:45. The dates are:

VFW Breakfast Help

The Cresco VFW hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of each month from September thru April at the VFW (by Subway).  The breakfast runs from 8am  to 12:30pm.  Dates for breakfasts are Dec. 20, Jan. 17, Feb. 21, March 20, and April 17th.  Volunteers are always needed and made just show at the times that work for them.

Helping Services Volunteer Opportunity

Helping Services for Northeast Iowa is hosting a Nurtured Heart parenting class in Cresco on February 16th, 23rd, and March 1st. The volunteers would be expected to help us run the day care service that we provide the parents during the classes.  We are estimating that we will need anywhere from 2-5 volunteers for this event, dependent on the number of people we get to enroll in the class. Babysitting Help

The Crestwood PTO has a meeting on Tuesday December 15 at 6:30 in the discovery center at Crestwood Elem/JH. They are seeking volunteers to provide day care so parents can attend the meeting. Contact Kelly Jessen at kellyolsonjessen@gmail.com if interested in helping.
