Opportunity in Elma
The Elma Area Wellness Center, a non-profit organization, is seeking volunteers to help with Elma's newest community project - a wellness center in the old "red wagon" building. We are seeking volunteers to help in a variety of areas including deconstruction, construction, cleaning, painting, etc. We are currently working on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons but occasionally other times as well. There will also be opportunities to volunteer after we open, which will be in early 2013. If interested in volunteering - we will find a job to match your skill set. Notre Dame Needs Play Partners
Notre Dame Preschool is looking for play partners. We are looking for students from 8:15-9:00, Monday-Fridays, or 12:10-1:00, Monday-Friday except Wednesday, or any part of these times. Students might be introducing Preschool children to new apps on the iPad, playing a game such as Candyland or Go Fish, building in the Block Center, reading in the Book Center or drawing and writing in the Writing Center. Mentoring Volunteers
Mentors For A Day are needed December 15th for Mentoring Event called Food & Fitness at the Waukon Wellness Center, from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. You are asked to do activities with a youth whose mentor isn’t able to attend or who has yet to have a mentor in the program. Activities to choose from will include: playing basketball, volleyball, climbing the rock wall, and much more. Carpooling is encouraged.

Five to seven Silver Cord Volunteers are needed on Saturday September 22 from 10-5 to help with a benefit for Punky (Judy) Engelhart in Lime Springs. Volunteers can work a few hours or the entire time. Duties include serving and clearing tables.

Art Fair Help Needed
On Sunday August 5th various types of volunteers are needed for the Art Fair in Beadle Park.
From 6:30-8am, volunteers are needed to help set-up.
From 10-4, volunteers are need to help young children create art. Additionally musicians and singers are needed to perform throughout the day.
From 3:30 to 4:30pm, volunteers are need to help take down.

1. LeAnn Sauer from Cresco Care Center is looking for volunteers on
--June 21st from 10-2 to help escort residents to the Howard County Fair
--June 28 from 1-3 to help residents on a fishing outing.
