CFC Winter Opportunities

Christmas in Lime Springs

Workers are needed at Christmas in Lime Springs. The event will take place Sunday, December 1 from 11:00- 4:00pm at the Lime Springs Community Center and is sponsored by the Community Club. Workers will wash dishes, bus tables, serve food and other tasks as assigned. Holiday clothing encouraged but not required. Kelly Olson is the contact for the event. Notre Dame Volunteer Opportunities

The Notre Dame Parish Family Ministry Committee hosts community events once a month which would be fun and engaging service experiences for any interested students. These events are NOT explicitly Catholic and exist for anyone who would like to attend. The following is a general calendar for the remainder of the year. If any students are interested in assisting, have them reach out to me via email at b.mcgee@dbqarch.org: --Sunday, November 24th-Mother Daughter Tee-Party, Tye-Dye event in the church basement. 2:00-4:00 PM (volunteer times 1:30-4:30 to include set up and clean up) --Friday, December 6th-Cookies with Santa in the church basement 5:30-7:30 PM (5:00-8:00 set up and clean up). Twisted Hallow Haunted Woods

Holly Anderson is seeking volunteers at the Twisted Hallow Haunted Woods on November 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. She also will need help setting up November 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday November 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be special effects makeup, masks, and they can bring their own scary costumes also. The Youth Football Organizers are looking for students wanting to earn Silver Cord hours during our 3 home YSF games helping in the concession stand. They need assistance on the following dates and times.

They can work the entire shift or half of it.

Kiwanis Needs Help

The Kiwanis Club is looking for two to three students to help with the tailgating at the football game this Friday, August 30th. They will sell brat burgers and hamburgers during the football game. They need help from 7pm til close. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Headington.

Sweet Corn Days Volunteers

 Silver cord workers are needed for the Kid's Carnival in Brown Park during the Lime Springs Sweet Corn Day Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 10.  The event takes place from noon-4pm on Saturday Aug. 10 in Brown Park, Lime Springs.  Workers would be needed beginning at 11:30 for set up and until 4:30 for tear down.  Workers will set up and facilitate games and crafts, monitor inflatables and other tasks as needed.  Kelly Olson is the contact for this event.

The Cresco Public Library is hosting a used book sale and will need assistance moving boxes of books for setup and tear down. Notre Dame Trivia Night Volunteers

 On Friday, April 26th from 6:30-8:30 PM Notre Dame is looking for volunteers who would be willing to assist with their second Trivia Night fundraiser.

Students would be asked to serve as hospitality during the evening. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

• Welcoming teams as they arrive
• Collecting answers from teams and bringing them to the scorekeepers
• Directing teams to restrooms and other necessary facilities
• Clean up at the end of the night

Cresco Community Theater Volunteers
