YSF Concession Help

YSF is looking for volunteers for the jamboree coming up on Saturday, August 26 from approximately 10:00am-4:00pm. Please contact Heather O'Brien at 641-229-6812 if interested. Volunteers can do part of the day or the whole day.

Czech Days Volunteers

The organizers of Czech Days, held in Protivin on August 18-20 are hosting a parade on Saturday morning August 19.  Due to the parade and many of our parish and community volunteers already volunteering to put on the event, we are searching for a group or organization that needs/wants volunteer hours.  This group would help us direct traffic into town and park cars Saturday morning before the parade, likely from 7am-11am. If interested in volunteering, please contact Randy Swestka at 563.203.1717.

Sweet Corn Days Volunteers

 Kelly Jessen is looking for volunteers for the Kid's Carnival at Sweet Corn Days on Saturday, August 12 from 11am and going until 4.  The event will be held at Brown Park in Lime Springs.  Volunteers will be monitoring bouncy houses, setting up and facilitating games, doing a sand art craft, and other activities. Contact Kelly at 563.547.8773 or kellyolsonjessen@gmail.com.  

Kiwanis Needs Volunteers

 Kiwanis members are looking for help in covering the Moomobile during the Howard County Fair on Saturday June 24, 2023. Interested volunteers can sign up on the sheet hanging on Mrs. Headington's office door at the high school. 

Wisdom and Wellness Volunteers

Mrs. Cheryl Dickman is organizing the Wisdom and Wellness summer program.  She would like students to help this summer, and you can earn silver cord hours!  Please consider offering your time and talents.

Student volunteers would be involved in overseeing younger students ranging from k-6th grades.  They would be going on field trips, participating in physical activities, crafts etc.

Students would need to be available Monday-Thursday, June 5th-June 29th.  8am-12noon.

Applications are available in the high school office and are due by May 10th.

 Crestwood PTO is looking for Silver cord Help Friday, April 14 at 4pm.  Workers are needed to help the mobile Build a bear crew unload and set up at Crestwood Elementary School.  Workers would also be appreciated at the family game night, same place and time.  We will need all of the games set up and the light meal set up and served.  Would love to have some students stick around and join in the game night fun.  Contact Kelly Jessen at Kellyolsonjessen@gmail.com or 563-547-8773 if interested.

Summer Reading Program Help

 The Cresco Public Library is having a much busier Summer Library Program this year and would be interested in having some high school volunteers for Silver Cord hours. Tasks would include helping cut and prepare crafts, helping register people, and directing people during events among other basic duties like shelving, dusting, etc. Please contact Jordyn at jordyn@cresco.lib.ia.us or 563.547. 2540 if interested.
